AM Toastmasters is an Auckland club that meets for a breakfast session every Wednesday fortnight at 6.45am. Meetings run from 7am to 8:20am meeting at the Cornwall Park Restaurant, One Tree Hill.  

AM Toastmaster members encompass a broad range of backgrounds, experience and abilities.  Beginners are assigned a 'mentor' and assisted through the steps provided by the Toastmasters Communication and Leadership program which provides a structure that beginners can work through at their own pace in a supportive environment. We are all here to learn and we never stop learning !

Toastmasters offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills through it's programs and roles from club executive through to Regional and International positions.

AM Member places 2nd in the New Zealand Humorous Competition

AM Club member Elise Broadwith has placed 2nd in the New Zealand Humorous Competition at the recent District 72 Conference where the finals were held. Elise represented Division A against the finalists of Divisions B, C, D, E, F, G a total of 240 clubs.It was a very intense contest, with an excellent standard of finalists. Well done Elise!!!

AM Toastmasters donates $ 10,000

AM Toastmasters has commited to donating one thousand dollars per year for ten years towards the expenses of the New Zealand winner of international speech competition. The first payment was made in July 2007. These donations are funded by speechcraft courses run by the club members who have voluntered their time.

Ex AM President talks to 10,000 people

On 17th June 2007 one of AM Toastmasters founding member Dick Hubbard spoke to 10,000 Aucklanders at the Vector stadium. Dick used his Toastmasters skills and position as Mayor of Auckland to introduce the Dalai Lama with a good does of Kiwi hospitality, humour and humility.

AM Club Celebrates its 25th year in 2006

AM Toastmasters Club held its 25th Anniversary Celebration dinner at the Northern Club on Saturday 29th July, 2006 and was a roaring success. Many acquaintances were renewed throughout the evening. AM Toastmasters commences the next 25 years as a vibrant and successful breakfast Toastmasters Club.
